Good Friday Procession 2018

Good Friday Procession 2018

This Friday March 30th is the Great Friday of Crucifixon & Veneration of the Holy Cross (‘rubto rabto dazqeephootho u seghdto da-Slibo) more commonly known as Good Friday/Dukha velli according to the Liturgical Calendar of the Syriac Orthodox Church in Malankara.

Today the Church commemorates the crucifixion of our Lord. Symbolically good Friday is considered one of the most beautiful services, depicting the last hours of our Lord’s passion from His capture by the Jewish temple authorities to the entombing of His body.
